45 minute Harbor Tour

Nowhere is international trade more evident. Ocean carriers and shippers from all corners of the globe come to the port to move cargo into and out of the United States. Beef from Kansas, bananas from Ecuador, perfume from France, cotton from California and electronics from Japan are just a few of the $80 billion worth of cargo passing through the port each year. You will see state of the art terminals capable of accommodating a mega ship that is longer than three football fields and wider than the Panama Canal. You値l see tall gantry cranes that look like they came from a Star Wars movie capable of lifting 50 tons of cargo. You値l learn how port pilots safely guide ships into and out of the port and how the port eliminates more than 400,000 truck trips per year with on dock rail yards. Long Beach is also the only seaport to export to outer space.
